Where you’ll stay in Arizona
In Scottsdale, The Westin Kierland Villas shares its amenities with the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa next door, with golf at the Kierland Golf Club, a 24/7 fitness center and massage in your villa. Families get a children’s pool and use of the Adventure Water Park, with a lazy river and a waterslide. Kierland Commons and Scottsdale Quarter are minutes away, and Old Town Scottsdale is about 20 minutes.
On the edge of Phoenix, Marriott’s Canyon Villas sits next to the Wildfire Golf Club and the JW Marriott Desert Ridge. It has four pools, including Lizard Lagoon with its waterfall, plus a splash pad and a movie theater. A free shuttle runs to Desert Ridge Marketplace, and Taliesin West is about 17 minutes by car.
Neither resort charges a resort fee, and self-parking is free at both.
Every stay is rented directly from an owner of the week. You don’t need a membership. One scowt handles your booking from your first question to check-in. Owners hold a villa type, such as a two-bedroom, not a set villa, so the resort assigns your villa when you arrive.
When to go
October to April is the mild season, the best months for golf, hiking and eating outside. Summer is very hot, a time for the pool.
In the busiest weeks, stays run 7 nights, weekend to weekend. Outside them, with enough notice, the minimum is 4 nights and check-in days are flexible. Check-in is 4 PM and check-out is 10 AM.
Questions about Arizona
Scottsdale or Phoenix?
Scottsdale for Kierland Commons, golf next door and Old Town about 20 minutes away. Phoenix for Canyon Villas’ four pools, the splash pad and the Wildfire Golf Club, about 30 minutes north of downtown.
Do the Arizona resorts charge a resort fee?
No. Neither The Westin Kierland Villas nor Marriott’s Canyon Villas charges a daily resort fee, and self-parking is free at both.
Can I pick my villa or the view?
No. Owners hold a villa type, such as a two-bedroom, not a set villa or view. The resort assigns your villa at check-in, so no one can promise a view or a floor.
Can I stay fewer than 7 nights?
Often, yes. In the busiest weeks, stays run 7 nights, weekend to weekend. Outside them, with enough notice, the minimum is 4 nights and check-in days are flexible. Tell your scowt your dates and we’ll check availability.
