Well, it had been 10 years since I had been to St. John’s. While I forgot how expensive it is, I also forgot how wonderful it is. All members of my family of 3 were exhausted when we arrived. We only wanted a peaceful calm vacation and to enjoy warm air, warm waters, and good food. We were sure our Westin home would be lovely, but it was even better than we expected. Everything was clean and our temporary home very spacious and all of our needs were met.

The weather was not really perfect, we had lots of rain and the temperatures were cooler than I had hoped, but it did not matter to us. We read many books either by our private pool, or at the beach. If it rained we simply parked under an umbrella or in the warm outdoor whirlpool tub. We did use the very up-to date health club daily and did do a little light hiking in the area.

Most guests probably experienced a variety of restaurants, but we were happy walking to the local grocery store and mostly cooking in and dining by our pool. Perfect for us. We did rent a car for 1 day after we had slightly recovered from exhaustion and toured the beautiful island, exploring several of the beautiful beaches. I suggest a car rental for day or two to really explore the island. The mountainous terrain makes hiking a bit difficult. Walking into town is possible, but getting to many of the other beaches does require a car. Bravery is indeed a requirement for the driver, as the roads can be rather treacherous.

I know it will not be another decade before return, and it is unlikely that I would consider another property on this island. The Westin has mastered the formula for a great vacation. I cannot think of anything that needs improvement.

We just completed a week in a two bedroom villa. The configuration of the space allowed for privacy and it was extremely well appointed and equipped. John was extremely responsive and very easy and pleasant to work with. We traveled with our young grandchildren who enjoyed the activities, but I did think the quality of the child based activities was mediocre. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

We have used Don Archer’s services before, and he has always provided fantastic experiences with great properties. The Ritz Club in Vail is absolutely top notch. Don suggested we stay here on our first trip to Vail. We had a two bedroom unit that was beautiful, well equipped, and very quiet! The service at the Ritz was outstanding, we loved the ski valet service. It was so nice to have a room to put on our boots(actually they will put them on for you!), and then a very short bus ride to the gondola with the friendliest drivers, who insisted we take water and granola bars(good move). At the gondola, we were greeted by hosts who had our skis. At the end of the day, simply drop off. The Ritz also hosted events after skiing, such as a wine and cheese tasting, and the best hot chocolate bar ever. Hot tub and pool were a great way to relax in evening prior to sitting in front of our fireplace. The concierge service contacted us several times prior to our trip, and made great suggestions for meals, rentals, and excursions( you will not regret the back country tour snowmobile tour, a highlight for sure), and took care of reservations for us. The entire staff, from the great housekeepers to the drivers were all exceptionally friendly, and genuinely just nice. I don’t think any other ski location in Colorado can compare to the Ritz Club if you are looking for a condo type setting. Vail skiing is awesome, cant wait to return in the summer to see another side of Vail!

Don Archer is simply the best to work with, we will use him for all of our vacations!!! Thanks again to Don!

We were very fortunate to vacation over the holidays in Vail, CO. We have had ski vacations in this beautiful mountain resort town for many years. In year’s past we have stayed at the Marriott, Sonnenalp and the Lodge at Vail. Our children our now all in their early 20’s and this year we searched for more spacious accommodations. Our search took us to Donald Archer’s website and Vrbo listing for a unit at the Ritz Carlton Club Residences. WOW! Working with Mr. Archer was fabulous. His communications were timely, helpful and thorough. Our unit at the Ritz was absolutely beautiful and the service at the resort was top notch. We had a great week in Vail! Our unit at the Marriott Surf Watch was one of the nicest units we’ve ever stayed in. It appeared to have been recently updated. What was most impressive was how clean the unit was, including inside the drawers of the furniture in the bedrooms and the laundry room. The property was beautiful and we certainly hope to return in the furture.

Everything about our week-long stay at Marriott Surf Watch was incredible! We loved the resort and our room exceeded all of our expectations, complete with a beautiful ocean view. Our 2.5 year old daughter loved all of the pools and the beach was a very short walk. We’re already talking about going back next summer.

The property manager we worked with was excellent and I cannot recommend him highly enough. The booking process was simple and we were given very detailed instructions. We loved everything about this stay!

Our 2 bedroom condo was clean, close to lifts, and Marriott staff was efficient about every request. We ate in a couple of nights but so many restaurant choices close by, hot tubs were perfect–hot and social or private… We had 4 college boys and used every bed and pull out in the place and every one was firm and comfortable– no sags. Jet bath in the unit was lovely addition and all in all the Summit Watch and Travel Scowt were responsive and reliable. Where else can I go with you all?!

Combines the best of both worlds…ski in/ski out location (literally 100 yards to the Town Lift) with comp ski storage at the lift and right in the middle of Main St. Everything you need is in walking distance. The unit itself was excellent and well maintained. Front desk was very responsive. Excellent facility! Great vacation! No complaints!
